It's been a while since my last post. I've been so tied up with work that I haven't gotten around posting new entries. Anyway, I know I promised a review of the BB creams 2 weeks ago, Missha Perfect Cover and Lioele Beyond The Solution.
I've been using Missha for a couple of weeks now and I'm really happy with this product. It gives great coverage and it also helps in controlling my oilies. The best thing about it is that it doesn't turn dark on my face like SF Aloe. The scent is also nice and very mild. And a big plus is that it has SPF 42. Really saves me a lot in prep time. :)
Lioele, on the other hand, also performs well when it comes to oil-control but the coverage is not as great as Missha. I only use it when I stay home or when I need to go to the grocery but mostly, I've been using Missha. I'll definitely buy another one once I finish it.
Sorry to keep this short. I'll do better next time.. :)

Mail Day Today
Got 2 packages today from Joeanne of TheLittleCoolShop. I ordered 2 BB creams from her and they were sent separately. The Lioele bb cream was shipped from Davao and the Missha Perfect Cover bb cream was shipped from Paranaque. Anyway, I'm so happy to find lots of freebies included with my package.
I mentioned in my previous blog that I bought a sample of SkinFood Aloe #1 from eBay. When I first tried it, I was really amazed with how it kept my oilies at bay. But I noticed on my 3rd day of using it that my face gets darker after a couple of hours of having it on. And my skin is not really acidic so I was kinda surprised to see this bb cream's effect on me. Also, I noticed small bumps on my chin after the 3rd day. They're not that noticeable but when I look closely, I see them.. So sad coz I really thought I found my HG in bb creams with SF Aloe #1. I just hoped that Missha and Lioele will work better for me. I'll post a review in a couple of weeks.

Mini Haul
Went grocery shopping today at SM Southmall and as usual, I couldn't help but purchase some items from Watsons. I got some nail polishes, 2 lipsticks, GNO eyeliner in Nice Gal and a liquid eyeliner from Nichido, and a couple of other essentials.
Also, I received my sample of Skinfood Aloe and BRTC Jasmine Water BB cream yesterday from an eBay seller and she included a sample of Buckwheat Loose Powder in a ziplock baggie.. I'm still searching for my HG in BB creams and as such, have not yet purchased a full-sized item (except for 4u2, which is really cheap). Anyway, I tried the Skinfood Aloe yesterday and accidentally slept on it. When I woke up, my face isn't oily at all which is really amazing, considering that I have a very oily skin, especially in the morning. Now I'm thinking about buying the full-sized one since I really loved the way it keeps my face oil-free.. Hmmm..

DreamGirl Faith BB Cream
After a couple of days using 4u2's BB cream, here's what I can say about it. First of all, the price is really a steal. For Php194, you get a moisturizer and foundation in one. The coverage is not great but it'll do. I use this when I'm really running late or when I'm just too lazy to pile on makeup. So what I do is, I apply IWhite moisturizer followed by IWhite Facial cream with SPF 15 (which also acts as a makeup base) and put on my Faith BB cream. I just let it set for 5-10 mins before i apply Ellana's Espresso Con Panna finishing powder. Depending on my mood, I sometimes add on a touch of blush and eyeshadow.
What I really like about this bb cream is that it's so easy to blend and the consistency is not thick. The smell is a big factor for me coz it's really mild.. Kinda smells like baby powder. The coverage is really light so you may still need to use a concealer but i noticed that it really gives me that dewy look after an hour or so. My pores also look smaller after using it and it doesn't make my face look dark even after 8 hours of having it on (but you may need to retouch with powder after 3-4 hrs since it doesn't really control the oil).
Pros:
- Very affordable for Php194 for a 30 ml tube
- easy to blend
- mildly-scented
- has pearl powder
- packaging is nice and you can easily stash it inside your kikay kit
- can act as makeup base or a foundation, depending on your skin type
Cons:
- doesn't do much for coverage. You still need to use a concealer to hide blemishes and dark spots.
- doesn't control oil much either. You'll probably need to retouch with powder after 3 hrs or less, depending on how oily your skin gets.
So will I buy it again? Definitely. It's really handy to have around and for that price, what more can I ask, ayt?

April 19 haul
Dropped by SM Makati last Sunday and decided to buy some stuff from Ellana since I've almost used up the sample baggies they sent me.. I bought Pure Blend French Vanilla Latte Foundation,
Translucent Finpow in Espresso Con Panna, eyeshadow in Inspiration and blush in Fetish. I was so happy with my haul and what made it better was that they gave me sample baggies of their blushes in Fulfillment, Heaven, and Affection.
So after paying for my purchases, I went to Watson's to buy my IWhite Aqua Moisturizing Cream. This is something that I've just recently discovered and I'm already in love with.. But instead of buying the full-sized tube, I opt for the Gold Gift pack which comes with a free Missha Moist Foundation in Warm 5 and Missha Light lipgloss. The gift pack contains:
- Aqua Moisturizing Cream (4)
- Facial Cream with SPF 15 (3)
- Mandarin Extreme Cleansing Balm (1)
- Pore Refining Coffee Sugar Polish (1)
- Heating Pumpkin Enzyme Mask (2)
- Ice Wine Rose Petal Mask (2)
- Fresh Seaweed Skin Renewal Gel (3)
- Moisturizing Facial Wash (2)
- Whitening Pack (2)
- Nose Pack (2)
And I only paid 499Php for the entire pack.. Quite a steal huh? Anyway, while I'm on my way to the cashier, I passed by the 4u2 booth and lo and behold, they have a bb cream and it's for less than 200 bucks. It's called Dreamgirl Faith bb cream. I immediately tested the product on my hand and liked it. And honestly, I would have bought it even if they don't have a tester around since the price is really cheap for a 30ml tube. I have yet to try it on my face though so can't post feedback yet.. Probably in a couple of days or so.. Overall, I'm really happy with my haul.. ;)

On BB Creams
After being sucked into this MMU craze, I have been intrigued by this ongoing rave about BB creams. To say that it has the efficiency of a foundation and a moisturizer in one is really something worth looking into.. Unfortunately, BB creams are really not easy on the pocket. They range from 600Php to 2000Php. I'm not yet fully convinced to spend that much which is why I decided to browse thru eBay for resellers of sample sizes and voila! I found one for Purederm. So for Php150 for a 5ml bottle, I decided to give it a try. After trying Purederm, I can't really say that I see what the rave is all about. Purederm is just like a liquid foundation and it doesn't even give a great coverage. I still had to use my concealer to cover blemishes and dark spots. It doesn't do much also when it comes to oil-control. I had to dust my face with powder after just a couple of hours. So will I buy the full-size next time? Probably not. I might search for another BB cream that would perform better with my skin.
