Okay, so I know I just bought my first ever red lipstick last week and I'm still getting used to wearing it but when I saw this auction for a Skinfood red l/s on eBay, I just couldn't help myself but bid on it (am I turning into a shopaholic?). I keep telling myself that I would get to use both of them eventually (I hope!). Anyhoo, it turns out that I won the bidding and I paid for it last Saturday and I got the item today. Yipee!
I also included a shot of swatches of both Skin Food Candy Moist Rouge #206 Cherry Red and Fashion 21 Wild Cherry.

Red Lipstick and Happy Mail Day!
They say that every woman should have a red lipstick. Personally, I've always been more comfortable in using nude or earth tone lipcolor but I figured, what the heck! I sure wanna give it a try. So since a lot of the girls at GT swore by Fashion 21's Wild Cherry, I have decided to purchase it. It's cheap too. So I bought it today and I can't wait to try it when I go to work tomorrow.
Oh, and my day was actually off to a good start. I received 3 notices from the post office for packages that I need to claim. And since I know that I'm just waiting for my Joppa grab bag and my 2 orders with Lauress, I hurried to the post office to claim them. Here are my latest haul..
I'm actually a bit disappointed with my Joppa grab bag since it only contains a few items compared to what the other girls from GT got. Oh well, at least the foundations are my exact match. I guess they really look at your previous orders to know what shade to send you.
I just ordered samples from Lauress and looks like I've already found my shade in Radiant Gold. Other samples I got are their e/s and gem liners.

Went to SM Southmall yesterday for grocery shopping and as usual, I couldn't help but check out their make up section. I was thinking of getting Maybelline's Mousse blush but they don't have any testers available so I got 4u2's duo eyeshadow instead. The color is really nice and very pigmented.
I've also been meaning to try Revlon's Colorstay liquid eyeliner due to a lot of good reviews on the product. The SA was really good at sales talk and she also managed to sell me the Colorstay Liquid Foundation. I got it in Buff. The SA tried it on me before I decided to get it. It's really nice. It gives great coverage and it really mattifies my face. I'll write a review about it in a week.
The Colorstay liquid eyeliner on the other hand was a bit disappointing for me. I was actually looking for a good waterproof eyeliner and I was hoping this one would work for me but as it turns out, it faded after just a few hours of having it on. I use an eye lubricant by the way, so i really need a great waterproof eyeliner. Fashion 21 works way better for me than Revlon. It's just that Fashion 21 turns shimmery after an hour or so and I really want a very black eyeliner.
Which leads me to 'resurrecting' my Fanny Serrano gel liner. Now this one really stays put but it dries out really fast. I have just been using it for 10 days or so when it dried out and turned flaky. So what I did was pot 2 drops of VCO on it and voila, it's creamy again.

Pasalubong and Mid-Week Haul
My aunt came from the US for a visit and she gave me this, among other stuff. It's the Liplicious lip colour from Bath and Body Works. It's really nice. It's double-ended. On one side is the Brown Sugar Scrub which is supposed to smoothen your lips and on the other end is a flavored lip color. I got pomegranate. The color is really nice and it tastes yummy too.
Went to Southmall yesterday to buy the elf elements eyeshadows and customized my own palette. But since some of the colors I was looking for were not available, I ended up purchasing this instead. It was on sale according to the SA. From around 500 bucks, they lowered it to Php375. Now I know that there were a lot of people who were not satisfied with this product because, according to them, the e/s are a bit chalky. But I figured that it will be good enough for me to practice on. I'm not really an expert on applying makeup so this will be enough for me to hone that skill (wish!). There are actually some colors that are really nice when i swatched them and I might try them tom when I go to work.
I also got the ELF Duo Eyeshadow Cream in Butter Pecan. I've been meaning to get this for the longest time but it's always OOS. Good thing it was available when I visited the elf stall yesterday. I'll get the Black Licorice next time since it wasn't available then.
I also got some other stuff like Fashion 21 black liquid eyeliner. I'm still in search for the best waterproof eyeliner since I started wearing contacts again and this was highly recommended by a lot of our sisses from Girltalk. I also got the Nichido sheer lipstick in Pink Ice (another recommended item from GT). It has shea butter and feels really good on the lips. The color is also really nice, very subtle. Another item I got was Avon Advanced Eye Perfector. Just hope it can help in removing some wrinkles that I'm starting to get around the eye area.

Revenge is Sweet.. Nah, Just Kiddin'...
So after participating in this tag game, I got vengeful, I mean inspired! (hehe!) I have decided to start another tag game which is kinda similar to what we just had..
Rules: Take a picture of yourself before putting on your makeup (that means without applying anything on your face). Then take a picture of yourself after putting on makeup. These will be your 'before' and 'after' photos. Itemize what makeup you used on your 'after' photo.
So I'll start the ball rolling..

Since I'll be staying home for the rest of the day, I've decided not to use foundation. So I have applied my Purederm bb cream instead. I topped it with Ellana Espresso Con Panna FS. For my blush, I used Nichido powder blush in passionate red.
For the eyes, I used Nichido black liquid eyeliner, G-lish gelato eyescream #13 and #8, Nichido GNO pencil in Smoke Green, Elf Black Mascara, Fashion 21 eyebrow powder
Lips: G-lish lusterstick in party princess and Victoria's Secret Strictly Sheer #139
So there, I'm tagging everyone who follows this blog.. (please don't hate me!) That means I'm tagging Lai, Pammy, Tiff, *Nehs*, Crystal, Ida, Chrissy, September, and Donnarence.. harharhar (there's my evil laugh again!)

My Random Ramblings..
I've always wanted to know what my shade is with MAC so when I went to MOA yesterday, I made sure that I drop by MAC's counter. I found out that I'm an NC25. It was an enormous feat to turn away and buy nothing. But I'm not really sure if I'm willing to shell out Php1500 for a foundation so with a heavy heart, I turned away. Probably someday.. When I have more moolah to spare.
Anyway, it's my rest day today and I figured that I won't be putting any make up on especially with the hot weather and all.. But I'm really bored and I had to take my sister and aunt to the bus station so I need to put on some makeup but it's very minimal.. I just used my Purederm BB cream and my Joppa Original FS in Sheer, Nichido blush in Passionate Red, my homemade eye primer, Fashion21 eyebrow duo and black liquid liner, Nichido Girls Night Out in Smoke Green, Gelato eyescream #3, Bare Naturals lipcolor in Delusional, Ellana mineral e/s in Inspiration as my brow highlighter, and Elf waterproof black mascara and I'm done.. It's really hot but at least my make up is not melting.. yet.
