Revenge is Sweet.. Nah, Just Kiddin'...

So after participating in this tag game, I got vengeful, I mean inspired! (hehe!) I have decided to start another tag game which is kinda similar to what we just had..

Rules: Take a picture of yourself before putting on your makeup (that means without applying anything on your face). Then take a picture of yourself after putting on makeup. These will be your 'before' and 'after' photos. Itemize what makeup you used on your 'after' photo.

So I'll start the ball rolling..

Since I'll be staying home for the rest of the day, I've decided not to use foundation. So I have applied my Purederm bb cream instead. I topped it with Ellana Espresso Con Panna FS. For my blush, I used Nichido powder blush in passionate red.

For the eyes, I used Nichido black liquid eyeliner, G-lish gelato eyescream #13 and #8, Nichido GNO pencil in Smoke Green, Elf Black Mascara, Fashion 21 eyebrow powder

Lips: G-lish lusterstick in party princess and Victoria's Secret Strictly Sheer #139

So there, I'm tagging everyone who follows this blog.. (please don't hate me!) That means I'm tagging Lai, Pammy, Tiff, *Nehs*, Crystal, Ida, Chrissy, September, and Donnarence.. harharhar (there's my evil laugh again!)

What's in my Kikay Kit

Saw something like this from Crystal's previous blogs so I've decided to make a similar entry.

I don't bring a lot of stuff with me especially since I started using mmu. I just don't feel the need to retouch since my make up stays on for the entire shift. Anyway, these are what I have on my mini make up kit..

I just bring my baby buki brush from Ellana, Clean & Clear oil control film, hand sanitizer, bare naturals mineral lip color, VS Strictly Sheer #139, G-lish lusterstick in party princess, nichido GNO in Smoke Green, ELF black eyeliner pencil, Maybelline pressed powder, Ellana FS in Espresso Con Panna, Godiva Lico White Lip Gloss, vanilla scented cologne, and my trusty comb.

I need to find a smaller container for my hand sanitizer since this tube is a bit big to carry around.. So there, that's what I carry with me when I go out.. So I'm tagging everyone who reads this and has not yet posted a similar entry..

My Random Ramblings..

I've always wanted to know what my shade is with MAC so when I went to MOA yesterday, I made sure that I drop by MAC's counter. I found out that I'm an NC25. It was an enormous feat to turn away and buy nothing. But I'm not really sure if I'm willing to shell out Php1500 for a foundation so with a heavy heart, I turned away. Probably someday.. When I have more moolah to spare.

Anyway, it's my rest day today and I figured that I won't be putting any make up on especially with the hot weather and all.. But I'm really bored and I had to take my sister and aunt to the bus station so I need to put on some makeup but it's very minimal.. I just used my Purederm BB cream and my Joppa Original FS in Sheer, Nichido blush in Passionate Red, my homemade eye primer, Fashion21 eyebrow duo and black liquid liner, Nichido Girls Night Out in Smoke Green, Gelato eyescream #3, Bare Naturals lipcolor in Delusional, Ellana mineral e/s in Inspiration as my brow highlighter, and Elf waterproof black mascara and I'm done.. It's really hot but at least my make up is not melting.. yet.

DreamGirl Faith BB Cream

After a couple of days using 4u2's BB cream, here's what I can say about it. First of all, the price is really a steal. For Php194, you get a moisturizer and foundation in one. The coverage is not great but it'll do. I use this when I'm really running late or when I'm just too lazy to pile on makeup. So what I do is, I apply IWhite moisturizer followed by IWhite Facial cream with SPF 15 (which also acts as a makeup base) and put on my Faith BB cream. I just let it set for 5-10 mins before i apply Ellana's Espresso Con Panna finishing powder. Depending on my mood, I sometimes add on a touch of blush and eyeshadow.

What I really like about this bb cream is that it's so easy to blend and the consistency is not thick. The smell is a big factor for me coz it's really mild.. Kinda smells like baby powder. The coverage is really light so you may still need to use a concealer but i noticed that it really gives me that dewy look after an hour or so. My pores also look smaller after using it and it doesn't make my face look dark even after 8 hours of having it on (but you may need to retouch with powder after 3-4 hrs since it doesn't really control the oil).

Pros:
- Very affordable for Php194 for a 30 ml tube
- easy to blend
- mildly-scented
- has pearl powder
- packaging is nice and you can easily stash it inside your kikay kit
- can act as makeup base or a foundation, depending on your skin type

Cons:
- doesn't do much for coverage. You still need to use a concealer to hide blemishes and dark spots.
- doesn't control oil much either. You'll probably need to retouch with powder after 3 hrs or less, depending on how oily your skin gets.

So will I buy it again? Definitely. It's really handy to have around and for that price, what more can I ask, ayt?

April 19 haul

Dropped by SM Makati last Sunday and decided to buy some stuff from Ellana since I've almost used up the sample baggies they sent me.. I bought Pure Blend French Vanilla Latte Foundation,
Translucent Finpow in Espresso Con Panna, eyeshadow in Inspiration and blush in Fetish. I was so happy with my haul and what made it better was that they gave me sample baggies of their blushes in Fulfillment, Heaven, and Affection.

So after paying for my purchases, I went to Watson's to buy my IWhite Aqua Moisturizing Cream. This is something that I've just recently discovered and I'm already in love with.. But instead of buying the full-sized tube, I opt for the Gold Gift pack which comes with a free Missha Moist Foundation in Warm 5 and Missha Light lipgloss. The gift pack contains:

- Aqua Moisturizing Cream (4)
- Facial Cream with SPF 15 (3)
- Mandarin Extreme Cleansing Balm (1)
- Pore Refining Coffee Sugar Polish (1)
- Heating Pumpkin Enzyme Mask (2)
- Ice Wine Rose Petal Mask (2)
- Fresh Seaweed Skin Renewal Gel (3)
- Moisturizing Facial Wash (2)
- Whitening Pack (2)
- Nose Pack (2)

And I only paid 499Php for the entire pack.. Quite a steal huh? Anyway, while I'm on my way to the cashier, I passed by the 4u2 booth and lo and behold, they have a bb cream and it's for less than 200 bucks. It's called Dreamgirl Faith bb cream. I immediately tested the product on my hand and liked it. And honestly, I would have bought it even if they don't have a tester around since the price is really cheap for a 30ml tube. I have yet to try it on my face though so can't post feedback yet.. Probably in a couple of days or so.. Overall, I'm really happy with my haul.. ;)

The one on top is Purederm and the one at the bottom is 4u2

An MMU Convert

I've never been an avid user of make up.. until now. I guess you could say that joining an online forum like girltalk has really changed me when it comes to kikay factor..( teehee!)

There were days when makeup pasalubongs from relatives in the US just expire without me using them but lately, I have begun my own collection of make up, MINERAL MAKE-UP!! At first, I was just curious about the raves about this products and I decided to order online since Joppa offers free shipping worldwide.. Since I cannot wait for my Joppa haul to arrive, I decided to try the Loreal's True Match Mineral foundie and whoa, I was hooked.. I really love the way it feels on my skin and it doesn't even look like I'm wearing make-up..(as compared to when I use True Match liquid foundie).. and what's even better is that I didn't have to retouch my make-up the entire shift, and I'm on an 11-hr shift, mind you! And then my free samples from Ellana came. and I excitedly tried them on, and the result is even better.. It feels better on my skin and it offers better coverage.. After 14 days of waiting, my Joppa haul arrived and I was ecstatic. I haven't tried them all yet but with the few varieties I've used, I'm in love already. I'll be posting pics of my small stash of MMU soon and I'll give more feedback as I use them.. For now, I guess it's true that once you've tried MMU, you'll never look at make-up the same way again.. LOL!

Wearing my Joppa MMU

This is what I started with when I decided to try MMUs. A few more has been added since then but I haven't gotten around to taking their pics..
